Xtreme Gardening

Launched in late 2008 as a new minority division of Reforestation Technologies International (RTI), Xtreme Gardening makes highly effective and beneficial biological inoculants available to the home grower.

RTI is known for being the oldest and most recognized producer of mycorrhizal inoculants in the United States, and for supplying the world with high-quality biological inoculants. RTI products have successfully helped plant more than 750 million trees in nine countries. They have also restored some of the poorest habitats known to man (mines, nuclear test sites, deserts, and barren wastelands) around the world into lush, thriving ecosystems capable not only of sustaining life but also of producing bountiful crops.

Xtreme Gardening Grow Plan

Organic gardening has never been easier – what's our secret? Instead of pumping crops with unnecessary nutrients, enlist the help of microbes to do the hard work for you! Healthy soil is soil that thrives on bacteria and organisms that help plants thrive, grow, and produce crops. Impress all your colleagues with Xtreme results when you garden with Xtreme Gardening Mykos, Azos, Xtreme Tea, and CalCarb!

Follow this feeding schedule to get the most out of your growing experience!

Rooting

AZOS: For best results in the early stages of your plant, apply Azos to roots, clones, stems, and seeds.

Seed Germination: Mix 1 cup of Azos with 2 cups of water thoroughly. Place the seeds in the Azos solution for faster germination. Once the seed has germinated, transplant the root into the desired medium.

Sowing the Seed: Make a planting hole in your soil medium and sow the seed along the planting hole before applying the seed.

Clones and Backbones: 1 teaspoon of Azos to 2 teaspoons of water (1:2). Soak the cutting in the Azos cloning solution for 15 seconds. Soak the plugs in a solution of 4 tablespoons of Azos per 1 gallon for 10 minutes. Place your new cutting in the backbone and pour the remaining solution over the newly installed backbones.

Cloners: Add 1 teaspoon of Azos per 1 liter of water. Mix well and allow it to circulate through the system 24 hours a day for up to 5 days until new roots appear. Transplant the clones into the desired medium.

Azoos should not be combined with any other cloning product.

MYKOS: Early incorporation of mycorrhizal fungi into plant life can help increase nutrient uptake for faster root establishment.

Sowing Seeds: Sprinkle Mykos granules over the seed sowing before applying your seed, 1 cup of Mykos per piece.

Sprinkle Mykos directly under the seed.
Xtreme Gardening Tips:
Seedbed: Sprinkle Mykos and Azos over the seedbed/transplant hole before applying your seed.

Plantation

MYKOS: Adding Mykos to your growing medium will create a symbiotic relationship between your roots and the nutrient. Mykos is available in granules, water-soluble, and a root pack for different types of growing media.

Media Amendment: Thoroughly mix 1 pound of Mykos per 4 cubic feet (113,2 liters) of your growing medium, i.e., soil and coco coir.

Transplant Water: Sprinkle 2 cups of Mykos granules directly under and around the cell, i.e. soil, coco, rock.

Hydroponic: Apply 2-3 Mykos Root Blades placed around the strain per plant.

Mikos cannot be over-applied and works best in direct contact with the roots. It is not recommended to use it with chemical fertilizers with a high phosphorus content, above 10%.

AZOS: Azos acts as a growth stimulant, catalyzing the release of a natural growth hormone (indole-3-acetic acid) in plants.

Transplanting Water: Sprinkle 1-2 cups of Azos directly under and around the roots on the soil, coco coir, and rattan. Establish direct contact with the roots for best results.

Hydroponics: A root ball of sprouted roots with 1-2 cups covering as much of the root mass as possible.

Xtreme Gardening Tips:

Mix 2 tablespoons of Mykos and 2 tablespoons of Azos on a paper plate; roll the damp root ball in the mixture, covering the sides and bottom. Pour the remaining Mykos & Azos mixture into the transplanting pot and the root ball well.

Cultivation / Vegetative

MYKOS WP: If you want to introduce mycorrhizal fungi to your established plant, Mykos WP is a great way to add more microbial biology to your growing medium.

Root Drench: Add 3 teaspoons of WP per 5 gallons of water and mix well. Apply at least 2 cups of WP solution to the base of each plant.

Hydroponic containers: Add 8 cups of WP per 50 gallons of water. Keep well oxygenated/agitated with air stones and/or a pump. Repeat the process with each tank change.

Apply Mykos WP weekly until the second week of flowering.

AZOS: As a water-soluble powder, Azos can stimulate root growth and development.

Root Drench: Add 2 teaspoons of Azos per 5 gallons of water.

Containers: Add 8 teaspoons of Azos per 50 gallons of water.

*Apply Azos weekly until flowering.

Maintenance

TEA BREW: Microbial biostimulant, an easy-to-prepare blend of organic matter full of healthy soil microbes.

Quick Preparation: Add 1 tea bag to 5 gallons of water. Open and pour 1 microbial food bag (paper container) into the compost solution. Squeeze and crush the tea bag for several minutes until the water is black. Strain and use immediately in the soil at the base of each plant.

Complete Aeration Infusion: Add 1 tea bag to 5 gallons of water. Open and pour 1 microbial food packet (paper wrapper) into the compost solution. Squeeze and crush the tea bag until the contents are completely saturated. Let the solution steep for 24 hours at 65-70°F with the coffee maker and/or a humming air source.

Application:

Root Drench: Apply 2 cups of tea solution to the base of each plant. 16 cups (1 gallon) feeds up to 8 plants.

Tanks: Add tea solution at a rate of 2 cups per gallon of nutrient solution. The tea can also be diluted with water at a rate of 1 gallon of tea per 10 gallons of water.
Every 10 days throughout the growing season, including the last week before harvest.

CALCARB: A foliar nutrient booster, Calcium is a natural source of calcium that can help strengthen cell walls and regulate the amount of water that passes through, making it more drought resistant.

Foliar spray: Mix 1 cup of charcoal per gallon of water thoroughly. Spray the underside of the plant's leaves (stomata) and apply weekly. It may leave a beneficial white calcium residue on the leaves, which can be washed off with water after 36 hours.

Apply once a week for best results.

Flowering

Let nature take its course, biology is already at work!

Maintain biodiversity in the soil by applying Xtreme Tea Brews weekly.

Calcium levels in fruit and flowering plants are very important for proper crop production. Apply Calcarb weekly to the largest foliage to maintain adequate calcium levels.

The microbial matrix works in unison in gardening with Mykos, Azos, Xtreme Tea Brews, and Calcarb. Since these products are found naturally in nature, we're confident they'll deliver amazing results in your growing environment. The stronger the soil biology, the stronger the root system for a larger harvest.
