Barneys farm began with Derry, a Dutch grower who traveled to the Himalayan area to work with native strains. Derry traveled through countless countries in South and Southeast Asia collecting the most interesting genotypes, working with them for years until they were stabilized. Little by little, Derry acquired an exquisite collection of seeds with impressive flavors and effects from the Hindu Kush mountain range, the Tibetan plateau and surrounding areas. Countries such as Pakistan, Nepal, India, China, Tibet, Burma, Thailand and Vietnam were the places from which Derry acquired new cannabis genetics.

Once Derry had collected all the genetics he wanted, he returned to Amsterdam with his new seeds under his arm. Once there he decided to continue working on these genetics until obtaining a stable and quality product to market. This is how Barneys farm was born, quickly becoming a world leader in seeds.
