Description
Biobizz Calmag by BioBizz It has been designed for the professional grower and the amateur who needs extra calcium and magnesium in their cultivation.
Ca and Mg are essential elements for the correct growth and flowering of the plant, as they play a key role in cell production and photosynthesis.
Calcium and magnesium deficiencies are common, since nowadays we cannot trust that tap water has the correct concentration of minerals.
Whether you need to use soft tap water or decide to use osmosis water, Biobizz Calmag offers a 100% organic and certified solution for Ca/Mg deficiencies.
This product BioBizz concentrates the best of natural ingredients and presents them in a formula that does not alter your preferred growing program.
Correct inadequate water and deficiencies in a simple, controlled and natural way with Biobizz Calmag.

How BioBizz Calmag works
Soft water has less mineral content than hard water. The most important minerals that soft water lacks are calcium and magnesium. BioBizz supplements are designed to be used with water of average hardness that has a medium level of calcium and magnesium. This means that if used with soft or reverse osmosis water, deficiencies can occur.
Calcium is vital for strong cell walls and immunity to fungal infections. Magnesium is a vital component of chlorophyll. The lack of either of these two minerals is tragic for a plant. Additionally, calcium and magnesium can be "locked" or made much less available if there is too much potassium or phosphorus in the root zone.
Most "flower" foods contain extra potassium and phosphorus to feed the plants' demands during the flowering phase. This means that calcium and magnesium may be less accessible to the plant. Adding a PK boost can make the situation worse. Using this Calmag additive can help ensure that your plants do not have deficiencies during this important time. In line with all BioBizz products, BioBizz Calmag is completely natural and certified as a completely organic additive.
How to use Calmag from BioBizz
BioBizz Calmag can be used for plants grown in any substrate. Please note that BioBizz foods are all natural and quite thick. This means they are not suitable for systems that use drip lines as they can clog them. They adapt best to manual watering in soil or coconut. BioBizz Calmag is much less coarse than its feeds, so it could be used with other feeds in a hydroponic system. Be sure to keep drip lines clean and free of blockages.
- To use BioBizz Calmag, first add it to the feed water with the following dosage:
- For the prevention of Hydro/Coco deficiencies: 0.5-1ml/per liter of water
- For the prevention of soil deficiencies: 0.3 ml – 0.8 ml per liter of water
- To correct deficiencies in Hydro/Coco: 0.5-1.4ml per liter of water
- To correct soil deficiencies: 0.3-1.2 ml per liter of water
After adding it to the water, shake it well and then add your other foods and boosters one at a time and shake the water well between each.
Then adjust the pH to around 6.5 for soil or around 5.8 for coco/hydro. BioBizz pH Down and BioBizz pH Up are ideal for this.

How do I know if my plant has a deficiency or excess of calcium or magnesium?
When a plant experiences a problem, its way of showing it is through a change in the leaves, stems, flowers or even roots.
It can be difficult to detect calcium deficiency at first. The first symptoms will be weak stems, dark green leaves and a slower than usual growth rate.
We will observe these signals first in the new leaves, since calcium is an immobile element, which the plant cannot transfer from its reserves to where it is needed. If there is not enough calcium uptake, it will be the young leaves at the top that suffer and will begin to show yellow or brown spots surrounded by a sharp, easily visible brown border.
Furthermore, calcium shows us its deficiency in both old and young leaves since it is impossible to be translocated from nerves close to different points of plant growth.
Furthermore, if we can check the roots of the plant, we will see that the root mass is low and the roots grow at a slower rate than usual. These roots are less efficient, absorb fewer nutrients and are more prone to disease and rot. This is because the adjacent or adventitious roots lose the ability to absorb nutrients as they normally did.
In general, the plant will not grow as much or as fast as we expect and will be more fragile and brittle due to the weakness caused by the lack of calcium. If the deficit occurs in late flowering, we may even find that some stems break due to the weight of the buds.
If, on the other hand, we find a magnesium deficiency, the signs we will see will be in the older leaves at the bottom. Magnesium is a mobile element, so if the plant suffers a deficiency, it is capable of moving it from the oldest leaves to the youngest in an attempt to continue growing and flowering in the most appropriate way possible.
These lower leaves will begin to turn yellow between the veins, keeping the central area still green and rusty brown spots will appear on the older leaves that will need magnesium. If the problem is not corrected, the leaves will begin to die completely and fall off.
In addition, Magnesium can also influence the root system, decreasing its absorption capacity.
