Description

Citrik Ph Down Citric Acid lock It is a 100% natural product that allows lowering the pH level of the irrigation solution and is suitable according to European regulations for use in organic crops.

Now we can regulate the acidity level of our irrigation water with Citrik Ph Down from lock which guarantees that we only use ingredients of organic origin.

pH is a determining factor in crop physiology, and due to agricultural practices, it generally tends to be alkaline in both soil and water.

This negatively influences soil microbial activity and the presence of certain nutrients that tend to leach out in these environments, such as iron.

Lemon juice is injected into irrigation water to treat clogging caused by calcium carbonate (Lime) and magnesium precipitation.

Water with a pH of 7,5 or higher and a bicarbonate level of more than 100 ppm will likely have limescale problems, depending on the water hardness.

The amount of calcium and magnesium determines hardness. It is classified as follows:

  • Mild: 0 to 60 ppm calcium and magnesium
  • Moderate: 61 to 120 ppm
  • Hard: 121 to 180 ppm
  • Very Hard: more than 180 ppm

Almost all fumigation treatments using organic products must be carried out at a pH of around 6,5, so the role of lemon juice is essential; in fact, pH levels other than 6,5 greatly influence the effectiveness of the treatment.

When the pH level is too high, some micronutrients are blocked; when the level is too low, macronutrients are not assimilated at optimal levels.

Concentrated lemon juice has a pH of 2,2 (vinegar is around 3) so the amounts applied to correct are minimal; In any case it depends on the type of water, pH that we must achieve and from which we initially start,... ; All this leads us to the fact that this process must always be controlled with the use of a pH meter or controller.

Another notable feature of Citrik Ph Down citric acid is that it prevents blockages in drip and automatic irrigation systems caused by nutrients such as calcium or magnesium.

Citrik pH Down doesn't harm the beneficial bacteria and microorganisms in the growing medium. If you want the substrate to thrive and help your plants thrive thanks to the bacteria and microorganisms, avoid chemicals and use citric acid; your plants' roots will thank you for it.

Citrik Ph Down Dosage and Application

  • The acid is usually injected after the filter, so that it does not cause corrosion, except if it is made of polyethylene.
  • pH correction:
    • Once all the fertilizers and additives have been added, measure the pH level with a reagent meter or a digital meter.
    • If the pH level is above the desired level, add 2ml of Citric Acid and let it sit for a couple of minutes.
    • The amount of Citrik pH Down to be used depends on the chemical characteristics of the irrigation water, so a pH meter should be used throughout the process until the desired level is achieved, always measuring it at the ends of the hose.
    • We will repeat the operation of measuring the pH level as many times as necessary until we achieve the desired level.
  • Pipe cleaning: 500 cc per cubic meter.
