These pots are usually filled with clay “expanded clay balls” to provide the plant with a solid support on which to develop its vegetative structure. In models that measure 5,5cm and 7,9cm, a neoprene disc can be placed to replace the function of the ring. Neoprene collars are used as a replacement part for various hydroponic growing systems such as X-tream propagators. It is a neoprene lid that is placed on the top of the 5 cm mesh pot, and has a slot that allows you to hold the cutting during the rooting process without the need for any substrate.

In slatted pots, blocks of wool or peat, clay, coconut or a mixture of the latter two are usually used as a substrate.

These pots are the ideal replacement for GHE Rain Forest and Cutting Board systems, Neptune, Clon air and many other hydroponic and cutting systems such as Neptune and TC cloners. In addition, since these pots come in various dimensions and have a conical shape, they can be attached to many different models of hydroponic systems.

We will use the larger 15cm pots to grow our plants, while we will use the smaller ones to take cuttings.

Its use is very simple, we simply have to put the pot filled with expanded clay and put the cutting or seed inside. In a short time, we will be able to observe how the roots come out of the pot to look for water and, due to its openings, they will be able to do so with total freedom, thus avoiding root clogging or poor water drainage, so we will get rid of this problem. .

Like its use, its cleaning is also very simple, and you can use it as many times as you want since it is reusable.
