The Lumatek 630W LEC Kit consists of the 630W Lumatek DE CMH lamp (3100K or 4200K), the dimmable 630W DE CMH ballast, and the Lumatek Tekken Pro Hammertone DE reflector.

The included 630W 3100K or 4200K bulb is double-entry, suitable for any type of reflector, also double-entry or CMH or “Ceramic Metal Halide” is a technology that is gradually displacing typical sodium vapor lamps. HPS and metal helides HM. Also called LEC or "Light Emitting Ceramic", they are lamps that, offering the same performance as the higher-power HPS or HM, have almost 50% lower energy consumption and a 50% reduction in the heat emitted. An equivalence in terms of performance could be established with a typical 1000W HPS lamp.

CMH dual composition lamps are more stable than traditional, single ended metal halide (MH) lamps and this allows them to have an increase in light intensity and PAR/PPF output of up to 50% compared to Standard MH lamps similar power.

The PCA ceramic arc tube allows the lamp to operate at high internal temperatures increasing color performance, production and efficiency. PCA resists interaction with chemicals inside the tube which stabilizes the chemical mixture over the life of the lamp, improving color consistency and PAR/PPF level maintenance. Faster start pulse technology allows for start-up and restart time, lamp life and increased luminous flux.

LEC or CMH grow lights are similar to a metal halide HM, but instead of using quartz they employ a ceramic arc tube very similar to what is used in HP sodium vapor grow lights. This is why they are often called "ceramic metal halides." The great advantages are that they have a higher light spectrum range, emit a more natural color, produce more light per watt, and last longer. They also emit UV-B rays like the sun, which contributes to increased resin and terpene development in marijuana buds.

The Lumatek Tekken Pro Hammertone DE reflector is designed for indoor marijuana cultivation with double-ended or double-entry lamps, both HPS up to 1000W, and the new 630W LECs. These lamps have connections at both ends, so compared to typical E40 lamps they do not deform the reflector due to the weight they exert only at one end.
