The Sun System LEC 315W 3100K luminaire uses the most advanced technology in the industry, LEC (Light Emitting Ceramic). Its interior is made of German aluminum with 98% reflection and its corners are made of 95% textured aluminum for excellent light distribution and uniformity. The new Philips CDM-T Elite ceramic lamps have increased their range of the light spectrum, leaving sodium and halide behind.
These lamps also emit beneficial UV (Ultraviolet) and far red, which increases the weight and quality of the flowers. It provides a very high PPF (photosynthetic photon Flux) per second of 1,95 and 105 Lm/W.
The LEC Sun System 315w luminaire is equivalent to a conventional 600w spotlight, perfect for covering areas of up to 1.20m2, although thanks to its reflector you can use it for a 1.45m2 closet.
The energy savings with LEC lighting is quite high since with a Sun System luminaire kit the monthly electricity consumption will drop by half since instead of 600w we will have 315w connected.
We must also take into account the considerable savings in the purchase of air conditioning, cooltubes, fans and other refrigeration products that, in addition to usually having a high cost, their consumption is also high.

3100K Philips lamp included with the fixture
The bulb included in the lighting kit is the Philips CDM-T Elite Agro 3100 K.
Emits UV-B (ultraviolet) light so that plants produce more tricotas (resin) and more terpenes (aroma and flavor)
Its useful life can reach up to 2 years of operation, although we recommend changing the LEC bulb every 6 crops or at 8000 hours of use, which is when it drops to 90% of lumens (which is still very good).
Its PPF (Photosynthetic Photon Flux) per second is 1.95 and its lumens are 33.075 lm.
Philips brand electronic ballast
It is an electronic ballast from the Philips brand and carries the latest technology in safety and energy efficiency. The intellivolt chip is responsible for keeping the ballast on even if we have voltage spikes or small fluctuations, as long as they are between 200V and 270V.
It also has a thermal protection system that prevents the ballast from burning out and a lamp end-of-life detector.
Like all ballasts on the market, the Philips included does not allow the bulb to be turned on after being turned off until it reaches an optimal temperature again. Resets the bulbs quickly when there is a power outage or manual shutdown. It is not adjustable, it always works at 100% of its power.
Sun System reflector designed for LEC bulbs
It is made with two types of highly reflective German aluminum. The parts with mirror shine give 98% reflection and the corners with hammered aluminum give 95%, achieving a uniform distribution of light over the growing area.
The bulb is housed inside the reflector in a vertical position and it is important that it is perpendicular to the ground, therefore, the reflector has a built-in spirit level that will help you to correctly install your LEC lighting kit.
The position of the bulb in this model is vertical, so it is important that it is always perpendicular to the ground. For this task, the Sunsystem LEC reflector incorporates a double bubble level.
The reflector does not have glass for 2 reasons:
- The heat generated by the bulb is half that generated by a 600W Sodium HPS bulb.
- The glass, unless it is special, eliminates a large amount of UV rays (which are so appreciated by us to increase the resin).
