Diatomaceous earth is a 100% plant-based product, made from fossilized, silicon-rich unicellular algae, accumulated on the seabed.
It's a mineral, but of plant origin. It comes in the form of a white powder very similar to talc, which can be sprinkled or diluted in water and sprayed.
The silicon contained in diatomaceous earth, when it permeates the insect, perforates the keratin of its shell or exoskeleton, making it completely vulnerable.
The insect begins to dehydrate until it finally dies. It acts mechanically; it's not a poison that poisons, but rather dissolves the shell, and therefore the insects cannot generate resistance.

How to use Diatomaceous Earth
- Powdered or sprinkled
- Preventive dose diluted in water: 10gr/liter
- Healing Dose diluted in water: 20gr/liter
- Sprinkled on the affected plant and on the soil
- It acts very quickly and when sprinkled over the growing area a preventive and long-lasting effect is achieved.
- It should not be mixed with other agents of chemical origin.
- Store in a cool, dry place.
