How to use and dosage of Antisnails and Slugs
- Dose 50g per 100 square meters.
- It is recommended that the first application be preventive, before the pest becomes very present in the crop.
- Microgranules are applied directly onto the soil, although they can also be applied by making a furrow in the crop.
- Not recommended for use after heavy rain.
- Minimum security period: 7 days
- Domestic animals do not consume it.
Apply to the soil, using different application and distribution techniques depending on the crops, such as all-terrain distribution, application on the sowing line or in the planting line, or incorporated into the sowing furrow (together with the seed).
It is advisable that the soil is moist for greater activity of these gastropod mollusks.
Apply along the crop line or spread over the entire surface at a dose of 5 g/10 m2
The total dose of product may not exceed 17.5 g/10m per crop and year.
Apply the full dose when field observations show a sustained and active presence of snails and slugs.
Doses should be reduced when snail and slug populations are low or when intervention in an application programme with other compounds is planned. Interval between applications: Up to 2 treatments with Anticaracoles 2.5 are authorised on the same crop provided that a minimum period of 5 days is observed between consecutive treatments.
Applications will be most effective if made before crop emergence (in annual crops) or before damage is observed (in perennial crops).
Anticaracoles 2.5 applications can be made: a) during the 7 days before sowing: 1 or 2 full-field treatments; b) during sowing: 1 full-field treatment and/or 1 furrow treatment; c) before and/or after crop emergence: carry out 2 treatments with a maximum of 17.5 g/10 m? per crop and year, in the sowing furrow or in the planting line.
The choice of the best intervention periods should be based on a risk analysis; if snails and slugs can cause damage before the crop emerges, locate the granules close to the grains (in-furrow applications or mixed with the seed).
Avoid the product falling on cultivated plants. Anti-snails and slugs 2.5 is highly resistant to disintegration. Therefore, a new treatment should be planned when the granules have been consumed and if new generations of gastropods are observed.
